I can say with confidence that after these next 4 days are over, I will have officially re-joined the human race. The GRE general exam is this monday, to which I'm taking the day off work to take in San Francisco. I've been studying off and on for it, since it doesn't seem to be one of those tests that you can improve too much on, unless you've been studying hardcore and absorbing every tutorial book on it. I'm still studying a lot, especially in the Verbal section, to which I discovered that my vocabulary is less than substantial for my age group. It all stems from the that fact that I don't read for recreation much...and when I do, I have a horrible habit of reading the book halfway, and then forgetting about it. As of today, I haven't completed Native Son, Choke, Dracula, or the Odyssey. While I was in Mexico, I did read about 4 books, but I also had all the free time in the world. As soon as this test is over with, and my first two applications are in the mail (Hawaii and Oregon), the first thing I plan to do is sit down and read for a long while--- and then go out and get trashed with a new arsenal of vocabulary to yell into the foggy San Francisco night. Sounds like a plan.
The old battle axe at my job is screaming at us to report to the breakroom for a GMP meeting. I wonder if I can look any more bored this time. Let's see...
