slice of life update
Homemade! Zhi ma (black sesame) and peanut tang yuan:
Typhoon on the way; it's been raining on and off all day every day for the past week. I've started swimming every day. There's an outdoor pool here, which I love! And I finally got into Dexter like pardonthelitany kept telling me to over spring break. It's fucking awesome, and I'm sorry I didn't listen to you sooner! I'm on the season 3 finale :D
Work is still sucking out my soul. No change there. My boss kept me behind for 3 hours on Saturday...for absolutely no reason. There are so many cons to staying with this job, and few pros. So one might ask, why am I still working here? Which I hope will become a moot question by the end of August.
In other news: Aunt Ivy came back from her business trip last week and announced in the living room that she had gifts for us. My cousin got a bunch of sandwiches from Cathay Pacific’s lounge, which he ended up not liking because they had smoked salmon in them. Whereas I got a turquoise-green bag from Max Mara. YES YES YES!
So, I’ve never been a huge bag fan. For the past two years, my bag of choice has been a small version of duffle bag from Adidas that my sister used to use for carrying her track stuff in. It’s made entirely out of cloth, so it’s incredibly lightweight. The only weight I bear is the stuff I put in it. I kind of liked dressing up in nice clothes, and then having the bag dress me down, if that makes sense. But I am crazy for this bag, x's and o's and starbursts :D :D :D
