Name: Luca Milda
Fandom: Tales of Innocence
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Time Period: Post-Sania Village, before going to the Tower of Dawn
Wing Color: Silver
History: warning: tl;dr

Personality: Luca is a cowardly, lonely rich kid from a big city. He's awkward, sweet, and an absolute loser. He's the kind of kid who gets picked on a lot, even by people who say they're his friends. This has lead him to be rather introverted, though with his adventure he's been coming out of it little by little. Typically, like any hero, he has opinions, but unlike any hero, he doesn't speak them. He keeps them to himself if he's being teased or if other people voice opinions that are directly opposite of his, and just (albeit reluctantly) goes with the majority rule. This doesn't count for all times, however; for all his cowardlyness, the boy'll voice his thoughts and stand by them if he feels ballsy enough. What triggers this is usually his friends getting accused or rudely interrogated, and he steps in to either vouch for them or tell whoever's doing it to knock it off.

That isn't to say he goes looking for fights. Au contratire, the fights usually come looking for him. Despite his past life as the general of a successful army and one of the most powerful arch-demons in all of the world, Luca would love nothing more than not to find. He's opposed to violence, but he'll fight when he has to. He's strong (as long as his Devic artes aren't sealed), and at times, he can get a little cocky (if he's been fighting a while and getting intoxicated by it) because of it, but this doesn't happen often because if it does, he's wrenched away from it.

Speaking of intoxication, Asura loved to fight, and while Luca doesn't, there's just something about a battlefield that draws him in. Hell be shaking and crying when he steps on it, but after a few battles he'll be laughing and standing tall. Truthfully, he hates that side of him - he doesn't like liking killing, because that's not who he is. He's honest-to-God scared of what'll happen if he starts liking it too much, and that's the other reason he shies away from conflict. Aside from the whole "not wanting to kill humans" deal. He isn't a murderer by nature - he's a pacifist, if anything - and it really wrecks on him something nasty to do something like that. He's not a soldier, no matter how much he pretends to be.

If we could return to the whole "insecurities" bit, he's a pretty insecure kid. A lot of people who go through some sort of bullying in their life are. Luca's stems from his father grooming him to be the heir to his merchant business and as a result, he's easily one of the smartest kids in his class as well as one who picks up on things easily. Smart kids, especially ones who don't go out an awful lot or say an awful lot because one misstep could cause someone to get upset with them, are easy pickings. Whenever he thinks about how his classmates just use him (either as an extra player in soccer, which he sucks at and never wants to play, or cheating off of him and copying his homework), he gets sincerely depressed. Is that all he's good for, or is there something more? This is a driving factor behind going out, though it's a little more hidden than most. He has a chance to do something now, to prove he's a little more than a bookworm--

Of course, on his journey, he's still a bookworm, and he's still teased (though by people who are admittedly closer to him not just by the bonds of the present, but by the bonds of the past). He doesn't get upset as often, unless he gets yelled at or accused of something, and he's a crybaby when it happens. He wants to be "bold and resolute, just and upright, a true man" like the Asura of his dreams, but he believes it'll never happen. He actually thinks that he doesn't have a chance at it. He won't even go out and give it the old college try.

Another thing to note, as a result from his introvertedness, is the fact he's super awkward. He once admits that the word "friend" feels foreign to him. He doesn't know what or how friendship works, he's awful at thinking of-- of like, levels of intimacy. Should he give someone he met not fifteen minutes ago a nickname, or would that be rude? (He ends up considering it rude to just give someone a nickname like that, for the record.) He's polite, just like his family brought him up to be, and sometimes, this can cause problems, mostly if they're spitfires and they don't like how formal "Miss" or "Mr" sounds. When he's around his friends, he honestly tries not to be so formal, but chances are if it's someone he feels like he should show a decent amount of respect to, he'll address them formally.

Though, with what happens at Sky Castle, he's a little more resolute in what he wants; he needs to fix the wrongs he did in his past life in his present life, and it's only then he thinks he'll be able to live freely without the guilt of so many deaths hanging over his head. It's his fault the way things are, after all - it's his problem that he needs to fix, and he's going to do it.

Physical: He's strong - strong enough to carry a sword literally twice his size, actually. It's powerful, and it swings hard, and the only reason he's strong enough to lift it is because he's Asura. Because he can use Devic Artes. Take that away (like, say, with sealing them), and he's just your average, weak bookworm. He reeks at sports, becoming winded very easily from physical exertions, and he doesn't like such things very much as a result.

He can use some Fire-based magic as well, such as Fireball and Spiral Flare. Here's a complete movelist for him, for reference.

Mental: Luca is smart. Not genius smart, per say, but he catches on quickly. He studies a lot and does well in school, and he's able to hold intelligent conversations for hours (much to the chagrin of most of the party, save Ange). This is definitely his strong point, though sometimes, his naivety gets the better of him. He also has a fucking amazing memory, apparently.

Emotional: He's your average teenager in this department. He crushes, he cries (an awful lot), he gets angry. He's awkward around girls, to be honest, and he's polite more than half the time. He's definitely awkward with this "having friends" deal, though he's trying to get used to it.

Weaknesses:
Physical: He can't run forever and, while he's strong, he's a little slow at getting it. He's not the sportsy type, usually zoning out, but he does pretty okay in battle. Weaknesses forward, though, he'd rather try to avoid a fight. And as stated before, if you seal off his Devic artes, he's as strong as a twiggy fifteen year old. That is, not much.

Mental: As smart as he is, he's naive. That naivety seriously impairs his smartness sometimes - see 'walking closer to a dangerous enemy like an idiot' for details. His smartness can also cripple him; because he's smart, people pick on him and copy his homework and cheat off his tests. Because he's smart, he fails at friendship because he's never had friends, only bullies.

Emotional: His crushes. When he's enamored, he's fucking enamored. Sometimes (or all the time), being a pushover sucks, and while he resents it he also feels like he can't get over it. And, well, he's lonely, or has been, and he hates it. His isolation is mostly self-imposed, because he felt that if someone teased or bullied him, it meant they didn't like him. He's quite introverted, so it'll take him a while to completely become comfortable with someone - socially inept as he is, it's still weird for him to call others "friends" (though with his party, that's no issue anymore).
