Love, the speed of light, and time travel.
Just six more days...six more days until i'm completely the most happiest guy in the world. Yep, that's right, i come home and i will finally be able to shower my girlfriend with copious amounts of love! YES! LOVE FEST '05, BABY! That's all that's keeping me going now. The days just kind of bleed into each other and it's hard to distinguish them..all that really matters is how soon i will see my squirrel.
I really wish that she was here last night. Me and Kiran and Dave went up to Sonoma Mt. last night after the most intense game of Pictionary i have ever played. Me and dave rocked the house!! Bull by the horns!! What! Anyway, it was incredibly beautiful. Unfortunately, the moon was nowhere in sight, so the fog that covered the county was only visible above the brightest parts, and then the light seeped through and lit up the sky directly above it. That combined with the BAJILLION stars that were visible because there was no moon out, made the whole seen seem very other-worldly. I saw at least six shooting stars last night and definitely took full advantage of each one. Booyah! I REALLY wish that my lady was here to see all that. I'll definitely have to bring her out here soon...so beautiful....but not as beautiful as her! oh, SNAP!
So, after watching the sky for a good hour, we headed back to town and i had an AMAZING conversation over the tele with my lady (god, i miss her so much...) and then proceeded to fall asleep, but not before having some interesting ideas....it was like three in the morning though, so bare with me. Alright, so...time travel. Is it possible? There's been all kinds of movies about the subject and each one seems to have their own theory of how it works. The speed of light. No one has done it yet...or have they? As you approach the speed of light, time slows down...so, if you are traveling at the speed of light...for...say..a long time...only a fraction of that time will have actually passed. Ok, um, alright, you know how when you're sad or you're waiting for something...time seems to drag on...and when you're happy, time seems to fly. It has been said many times before that perception is nine-tenths of reality...and a lot of people actually argue that time doesn't even exist. Soo...if these last few weeks have dragged on for days...me and my lady both know that the next month is just going to fly by in like a day, or a weekend....i think it's because that we are sooo ridiculously in love with each other and can't get enough of one another. Then, i was laying there thinking...holy crap...what's that Huey Lewis and the News song in Back to the Future? That's right.
The Power of Love.
That's the secret to time travel and Huey knew this all along! Why didn't he share this information? My guess..the time travel has not yet been perfected. If you have noticed...all this theorizing is talking about moving forward, not back. Maybe it's impossible to go back...which would be a very interesting failsafe. That way no one can go back in time and fuck up the future. (hahah...like that one treehouse of horror where homer 'fixes' the toaster, oh man, good stuff) So, maybe we can only alter the flow of time, in which case it can be sped up or slowed down. I feel that the key to this is love. It's a very powerful thing, this love. It can make a month seem like a day, or it can make a single moment stretch on for days...now, if i could somehow harness its' time traveling properties...anyway...yeah, it's stuff like that that crosses my mind, that and being with my squirrel...ah yeah, that's the good stuff. Hmmm...i think i will somehow incorporate all this into my epic time traveling choose your own adventure story. Speaking of which, i should really be working on that some more, along with that other story.
Well, i should probably take a shower and what-not. Me and Will are supposed to go thrift store shopping in a bit and later tonight there's this open mic thing at this book store in Cotati. We might perform a couple of songs, booyah! Man, i can not wait 'til i get my hand out of this freaking cast!! I can't wait to use my right hand! Oh man, i shall be unstoppable!! MWAHAHA! Oh, just to give all of you out there in the world wide web an idea of how amazing my girlfriend is..guess what we are going to be for halloween...yeah, that's right, Han Solo and Princess Leia. SHAZAAM! That is what i am talking about! Heck yes! Alright, Will just called and i haven't showered yet, so i better jet. Hey, i'm a poet and i didn't even realize it. Ok, for serious, (*blue steel*) i'm out like a fat kid in dodge ball. Peace.
