It followed the same path as every urban legend, but the original study was never replicated, nor was the study about babies. Did that with my youngest. Not in the interest of science though. Black album came out while I was pregnant and I played the hell out of it. (obsessive with music) When she was a baby, I could put the album on- LOUD and she would settle righn down, snuggle up to me and sleep. Worked like a charm. She's 14 and still carries the it in her little portable cd "to go" case.

Oh, and she is pretty well adjusted for her age so I really don't buy the Mozart crap either.

..which made me think immediately of the Stockholm Syndrome. Maybe too much Mozart causes a Salzburg syndrome!
