After careful inspection, Vox appears to be "Livejournal for people who wouldn't admit to using livejournal." DId I miss something?

It does look nice.

Yeah, it's weird. I read one geek guy who was all "VOX IS GREAT BECAUSE I WOULDN'T GO ON LJ BECAUSE THAT'S FOR EMO TEENS AND I'M COOLER THAN THAT" and I'm thinking, right. You're the guy who reads /Vanity Fair/ because you wouldn't want to be seen reading /People/. Fuck you.

C'mon man, the power of myspace is awesomely annoying friends that take it seriously by making profiles like this.

It strikes me as a very Mac Genius Bar kind of site.

Isn't it basically TypePad with some LJ-style social network authentication added in, and brought up to date with the current web-design zeitgeist?

Hopefully they've made it fully OpenID compliant.

I thought vox was a brand of vodka... xtreme_pr0k June 2 2006, 17:16:39 UTC
It looks more like a grown up version of myspace or a combo lj/flickr/some other multimedia blog crap site...
