The article skirts around the race issue. But mentions of things like the Black Planet site and annual Player's Ball seem to imply that most of these kids aren't white, in spite of the unattributed stock photo on the left.
Yeah, the subtext about black women as sex trade is certainly there. But of course no one's asking the questions about the economic factors that make the sex trade attractive for anyone.
I'm from Cobb County, Atlanta's equivalent, more or less, of Orange County; where the same shit happens and is just better-disguised.
So would it be right to say that Atlanta is a child prostitution hub because it attracts poor, (mostly) black runaways from throughout the rural South?
