Is there such a thing as love anymore?
I see my friends settling for all the wrong boys, for all the wrong reasons. Money, sex, religion, security, anything that will make them feel as if they are getting further in this life. Is there such a thing a pure love, which accepts you for everything that you are, and everything that you are not? The love I have come to know, is not very concerned with your sex, religion, pocket book, or above all, your faults. But when it seems, every time you start to let this fucker called love into your life, there are unspoken boundaries and expectations in which no human can exceed. So why try? When it comes to being in a relationship, does that mean you have to put your single mentality on the shelf for good? Is there anyway to co-exist as a strong individual, and as a genuinely good partner to somebody? Or does being in a relationship mean surrendering the parts of yourself in which you have learned to love the most? What kind of pathetic monsters do we become, when love is involved?
Lets just put it this way, I try not to compromise.
