Ah, splendid, another former correspondent discovering the restoration of the journals' function. Yes, there are at least three other individuals, myself included, who have working journals. I was beginning to theorize that even that was an aberration. Your appearance on these pages gives me hope that perhaps the majority of journal holders have simply given up on checking, and may eventually learn of the reversal.

Quite all right. I'm afraid I often neglect to introduce myself. My name is Will Talbot. I am a researcher specializing in the field of psychic phenomenon, though I've been able to do very little in that way since arriving in this world. Oh, and I am a former member of the Indigo League's Elite Four, for whatever significance that may hold to you. It had to do with pokemon, if you're familiar with them.

Unfortunately, the only thing I am familiar with in any of that, is Pokemon. I use to have one.

But, I don't suppose you could tell me what's been happening in your part of Subspace, Will?

Certainly. I am currently situated in Mabe Village, some distance south of Mt. Tamaranch. I am told people find that a useful landmark due to its situation approximately in the center of the southern continent and the uniqueness of the egg-like object resting atop it. The village is largely untouched by SSA presence as of yet. In fact, life goes on here remarkably similar to the way it apparently did before the village was drawn into Subspace. I wouldn't care to make predictions regarding how long that will last, though.

Perhaps the village is too small for them to be concerned with? Last I knew, Vale had not been touched either. Ostia though, is an entirely different matter.

That is a likely hypothesis. They do seem to be highly concerned with the acquisition of resources. However, I expect that the smaller provinces, and even the unpopulated areas which have been drawn in, serve some purpose in the SSA's long-term plans, and will not be ignored indefinitely.

That is very likely. I do have to wonder, if destruction is all they are interested in or if they take prisoners. Ostia's king and princess have gone missing. We were unable to find their bodies.
