Pimping a friend's book...

TLDR version, my friend has a kickstarter for his book about NASA. Feel free to pass it on.

NASA Is Still Alive!
Help "Kickstart" A New Book to tell the Story

"After The Shuttle: An Artist’s Inside View of Post-Shuttle NASA” by local photographer Chris Haber, features stunning imagery of rarely seen behind-the-scenes areas of NASA.

This book features full-page color images with helpful facts about each photo, a run-down of the shuttle’s replacement, ORION/SLS, NASA’s new Commercial Crew Program, and ongoing unmanned science experiments. "Members of the general public think that the end of the Shuttle program is the end of NASA", says Haber. Nothing is further from the truth, of course, and Haber hopes his book will help get the word out that the agency is still around, and operational with exciting goals we are already working towards.

Through the innovative website Kickstarter.Com, Haber hopes to fund the publishing of his book, which will have many remarkable photographs of the "follow-on" activities NASA is pursuing. Supporters can pledge any amount to help him achieve his dream. In return, there are great incentives for supporters at each pledge level. Backers at the $75 level and above will get a first edition of the book once it is published plus a signed & matted 8x10 of any image they choose, with more perks included at higher funding levels. It is thought that some of the private companies that are developing follow-on manned projects for the Commercial Crew Program might be interested in contributing and allowing access to photograph, just to see their projects included in the book.

Anyone at all can help "back" the project by visiting Kickstarter.Com, and putting "after the shuttle" in the search box or go to www.ChrisHaber.com and click the green "Kickstarter" button. A 'short form' web address for the project is http://kck.st/KuFGMA (case counts) or the full link is http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/52068849/after-the-shutte-photographic-art-history-science

Due to Kickstarter's all-or-nothing policy, if Haber does not reach 100% of the goal he will receive nothing. As such, the set goal is the bare minimum, and funding past the minimum goal will help cement the project by producing eBook editions, traveling to other areas of the country to photograph their NASA facility activities, producing a larger first print run to lower the book price and more. Amazon.com safely processes all funds. No one will be charged until the funding project expires June 4th, and only then if the project meets the minimum goal.
