What a weird week...
Last week was somewhat odd... full of lifestyle stuff, and the meeting again of old friends.
First, H, whom I dated for a brief but wonderful time a few years back pooped up on my Yahoo IM with the status message "Still alive". She had sort of disappeared for a while, and I was happy to reconnect with her a bit and talk.
I've started talkingwith a new domme I met through collarme... Not sure where it will end up. She's a bit over an hour away, but that's no worse than travelling to Orlando.
Then I drove down to Ft Lauderdale to attend a dinner meeting of ClubFem. An old freind, Divinity runs the chapter there, and had invited me. It was a bit of a drive, but the opportunity to see Divinity and whole bunch of quality lifestyle folks (Club Fem's membership isn't open to all) made it seem worth while. I didn't have as much fun as anticipated, unfortunately. The meeting was held at a gayish bar and grill, and on Friday night the music (some sort of dance/trance/techno) was too loud to even carry on a conversation with the person sitting next to you. It was also a bit crowded, and since I don't do well with strsngers, crowds, or loud annoying music I was a bit out of my comfort zone. But it was good seeing Divinity and her husband.
Saturday night was the re-start of the local lifestyle coffee at Denny's. I saw many I had missed over the past couple of years, an a few I could have done without, but no one I truly despised. Ms T showed up, but was a bit subdued due to a cold and lots of personal matters going on in her life. We had a nice freindIy conversation. I realised partway through the night that I had three ex-mistresses there. Very odd. It's only a matter of time before a munch gets started again.
It was good to reconnect with so many people that I had let slip out of my life.
Oh, and in less than four weeks, I'll be in Vegas, meeting with a new bunch of lifestyle friends... :)
