Dear Junetide Author or Artist

Dearest Junetide Author or Artist,

First, thank you so much for writing or making art for me. I know whatever you create will be wonderful.

I'm not much of a high fantasy fan, or hard sci-fi for that matter. I love history. I love realistic fiction, or future fiction. I like well-written dystopias. I like post-apocalyptic fiction. I like some low fantasy, grounded in reality but with some elements tweaked.

I like characters of all genders, including none at all. I love all sexualities. I love characters who aren't sure of themselves, who are coming into their own. I like characters who are already there and are deeply confident. I like weak ones, or strong ones, good ones or evil.

I like conventionally attractive characters, or unconventionally attractive, or not at all. I like new love and old, solid and unsure. I like unconventional families, especially made ones. I like trying for others, but I like trying for oneself even more. I like home as a theme, wherever or whatever home may be. I like solid, deep, unshakable friendships. I like animals--as companions, as familiars, as rocks. I like purpose.

Mostly, dear Author or Artist, I am going to like whatever it is that you create.

Thank you,
Kelly
