A lovely start to a new year
Fiiiine, so Maria got me to update D:
I so suck at these.
So things have been going a lot better lately, work's been busy at the casino with the games growing bigger and bigger every month, and I've even had one of the players in the big game trying to get me to go out to Monte Carlo to deal in the casino there for a month or so in April, if only our manager would let me go ;(
Ive decided over the past week to try and cut down on the amount of poker I play online, after a particularly painful losing month, so I'm going to try and stick to a maximum of $50 per week and play small live tournaments only the rest of the time. Ive always known its an addiction of sorts but when I have time off work and very little else to do while at home but play online for 10 hours a day or more it becomes very apparent, and playing that much during a losing session can become a very big problem easily, so Ive set a limit on my accounts to try and control it and see how that goes for a while, then if it comes to it I'll lock my accounts for 6 months.
Im in desperate need of a new carpet for the apartment too, since due to many shisha accidents, between Joe, myself and Jazz, we've burnt about 7 different holes in various parts of the living room carpet, lol. It looks pretty bad in areas, so Im gonna either buy a few rugs which will cover the burns and make it look a hell of a lot nicer, or just recarpet the room completely. Other than that Im loving living here, it feels so good to be away from my parents and just live the way I want to without them judging the way I spend my time.
On a much happier note, a lot of my time lately has been stolen by Maria lately, and shes been keeping me very busy outside of work ♥ It's nice being able to spend this much time just talking to someone, and getting to know them as much as possible. Im looking forward to when she comes over here, whenever that may be, and hopefully it'll be a time when I can get a week or two off work too, so I can actually show her all the sights and maybe even take a trip down to the New Forest at some point =) I'll just have to make sure I put some extra effort into keeping the house tidy during that time (read as : put some -actual- effort :P)
Buuut I totally have a Valentine this year now, which feels verrrry nice, and has been getting a lot of smiles out of me since ♥♥♥
