It's winter and we just got the first snow of the winter about a week ago. It snowed since then a couple times, about 3 inches worth of snow so far.
I continue to be late updating the blog due to being busy at home working on the house.
Also our laptop at home died the other week and out normal computer takes 10 times as long to do anything. Basically trash, but not ready to be thrown out yet. Anyways if you are familiar, our laptop got the BSOD...blue screen of death. The computer would show a blue screen and your only option was turn it off. It would give this screen before allowing me to adjust any options to try to fix the problem. Well, we had pictures on the computer we didnt want to lose that we didnt backup in a long time, so I had to buy a device from walmart that would connect our hard drive on the laptop to our computer usb. If copied the pictures and after reinstalling windows, got the computer working, and the pictures didnt need to get deleted anyways, but better safe than sorry. Now the only thing left with the laptop is reinstalling every program that we need.
The other thing we have recieved lately is a pellet stove and a player piano. Loralee's parents gave them to us, as they never used the player piano and they have a new pellet stove and dont need the old one.
The pellet stove keeps us nice and toasty in the living room. Although the heat doesn't get too much into the kitchen. It's also seeming to be quite a bit cheaper than the propane that we normally use. 50$ of pellets used so far which would have been about 200$ of propane. Some of that reduction is attributed to the new windows.
Also this last week, Bonnie, Our Chihuahua, got sick and had diarrhea. She was acting sick, slept all day long, and we didn't know if it was getting towards her end since she will be 18 within about a month. We took her to the vet and put her on some medication. she's doing better now and is almost back to normal again. (Only sleeping 20 hours a day)
1st snow. This is later in the morning and some already started to melt.
Gwen enjoying the pellet stove.
