So..lately ive been getting a couple of movies that i never really considered watching, but only as they were cheap, or rentals...i went for them..
i thought i would hate this movie simply because the way it looked. once i saw the trailer i thought "why is the guy who did Three Kings trying to be Charlie Kaufman?" either way, im glad i saw...it makes you think into deeper things and can cause you to think about actual things in your own life.
i wanted to like it...really i did. maybe a second shot at it would change me, but its unlikely. i heard nothing but good things about it but once i saw it i couldnt help but be uninterested. the first 15 minutes were good only because it felt like a modern Albert Camus novel. As Zach Braff' gave off more lines, i cringed more and more. Eventually, Natalie Portman shows up in some stupid dog-leg humping scene and it all goes downhill in a steeper fashion. the character development just leaps from one scene to another and the ending was just....predictable. Nevertheless, i think Braff will be a good Fletch in Kevin Smith's "Fletch won" and a good Chicken little. his directing sucks donkey balls though.
Oh man this movie was just fucking great!!Great story, great action, AWESOME style. the whole film looks like a big Fleischer Superman cartoon. It was all filmed on green screen like Sin City(cant wait for that one). Just watch it
well i went to Gamestop cos my friend Javi was getting my brother a discount on the Donkey Kong game and he was giving us a 35 percent disocount on everything. i found this in the used bin, and i got because it had roger avary's name on it. sure...i was a little iffy about it cos it looks like some stupid teen movie. it definitely wasn't. Its definitely stylized and the messages are deep. its worth a look
