Finally managed to create a family in Sims2! Anika and Arista...they look so pretty! And I had way too much fun picking out their faces, hair, clothes, etc. *laughs* Sims is difficult, though! They're always getting too low in their Needs...^_^;;;; Also, I suck at building houses, they get all wonky and the walls don't line up. Ehehehe...
My epic seven-member detective family (the five detectives plus Leah and Svyrnn) is still a no-go, though...I can create them all, but once I hit the 'accept family' button, it just freezes up at the loading screen. Maybe there's just too many of them--I got the two-person family to load. well, kinda, it loaded part way, then froze, so I exited and reopened it and the family had apparently been saved. So, I moved them into a house. Very amusing. Controlling the camera is hard, though--I'm more impressed than ever by people who make sim legacies and stuff, their pictures are always so nice.
For some reason, Arista's life aspiration is Criminal Mastermind...^_^;;;; Well...technically, she is a criminal, but she's more like a vigilante-type criminal than a random crook. Anika's life aspiration is Mad Scientist. Which is...random. Lulz.
I could just make my detectives into smaller sub-families...it's hard enough managing two sims at once, let alone seven. But I really want to have them all together, epically. Just because. sadly, my computer may be too slow for that...although, it has no trouble running the game--there's no lag time or slowness or anything, it's all very smooth. It just has trouble with loading screens--loading the neighborhoods, the families, etc. Once they're loaded, the game runs fine. which makes me think my graphics card is plenty good enough (even though I've read online that it's not. But it's working fine.), because otherwise wouldn't it glitch up during gameplay? Maybe I don't have enough memory...? Meh, maybe I'll ask my brother what he thinks the cause is. Anyway, it's still super-fun, although I regret my lack of epic detective zaniness (with seven moronic sims--and all sims appear to be morons so far--it really would be epic...DX)
I think I may have the free will set turned off or set too low or something, because seriously, shouldn't they know to feed themselves when they're hungry? Or maybe I'm feeding them before they're hungry enough to do it themselves. Lulz, I have no idea how to play this game properly. XD
Also, sent in the application for the internship today. fingers crossed, I guess? I dunno, I feel neutral about it. I don't dislike the idea of doing it, but it's not super-exciting or anything. It's a job, you know? Meh. Oh well.
Also also, I need to learn how to do custom content, because seriously, I have a lot of characters with weird hair and eye colors...and a handful of long-haired guys, and that's not a standard option. The game came with something called bodyshop, so...I'll dig around and see if I can find it.
