So, Polly was NOT happy. Polly is an PR person at ToffeeApple, one of Garbage's promoters. They made the interactive bits of the BeautifulGarbage CD etc. Anyway, she let it slip (personal opinion) in one of her emails that she didn't think the album was particuarly good. Well of course that was like red flag to me, and on Tuesday we posted the entire conversation onto the web. I mean, if even Mushrooms promo company does like it what hope is there of commercial success? Blah.
Anyway, that's when the shit hit the fan. Polly emailed me saying she wanted me to call her.
So I did.
She insisted that her comments were personal and nothing to do with ToffeeApple or Mushroom, which is fare I suppose, and that I was to remove the emails from our site right away. I suggested that I'd opened a can of worms. She said she was in trouble over the whole thing, and that Mushroom had called her and complained after reading the emails on our site.
Not sure what to make of that. Anyway, I did remove the emails from the public domain.
But MUSHROOM viewed our site. That's pretty cool.
And, I feel rotten because I should never have posted those mails, at least, not posted them unedited. "A source inside one of the promo companies said..."
DAMN IT!
On a totally different subject, one of the suppliers here at work (content supplier for our site) sent me an article on Garbage from The Times from Tuesday, right out of the blue. Nice suprise.
Oh and that utter STAR Allison sent us the Astoria gig video tape, so we'll hopefully put a load of captures online SOON... onay I'm starting to repeat stuff here that needs to be on the commentary page of subhuman.net... oops... :)
I feel good. Had an early night. I'm in love. What more can a guy ever need? Hm.... apart from and Xbox... which I will order today.
:P
