I've been really frustrated this whole season so far, but with this episode it was just like -- even though I noticed and pointed out all the things which seemed ridiculous, I was still just so happy to have something which felt like my old show back. And I'd really lost that faith up until now, but now I think I believe again that the ending will be brilliant. It's a good feeling. :D
(And, yeah, that's another thing I should have added -- I was really not down with Adama's manpain, and handing over the reins to Tigh of all people seemed like a decision not at all in keeping with what we know of Adama's character. I love Tigh like crazy, but, seriously? And I love Adama/Roslin, too, but, seriously?
I liked Lee better in uniform, too. :/ Basically I just really miss the days when he and Kara were punkass pilots and had their whole hatesex vibe going on all the time.)
And yeah, that's true, re: the madness. But I was getting sort of fed up with it last season, too, with all the bits about Leoben and her mother and her special fingerpainting destiny -- or, not even that I was getting fed up with that stuff per se, so much as, again, missing the old punkass Kara I loved.
