First of all, I just want to thank everyone that voted NO. You son of a bitches. It's a universal privilage to go to school you fucking idiots. All of you senior citizens and parents that think "the budget is too much" WHO PAYED FOR YOUR EDUCATION?! That's right, your parents, and grandparents and all of the elderly in the county. It's too bad the

If you are an adult in Mahopac, there is not a whole lot you can do to cap what you are spending. Prices keep going up, taxes keep going up, salaries do not. The school budget is one thing that people CAN control, and it's not fair to blame them for attempting to do something about the rising financial pressures they are being faced with.
Many of our lovely Mahopac students go home at three o'clock and party and smoke weed and skateboard ANYWAY, and those people probably aren't doing extracurricular activities for their intended purposes in the first place. The budget failure is NOT an excuse to start smoking crack and if you believe it is, then I feel sorry for you and YOU are the "fucking dick." You are showing almost as much apathy for what the school provides as the NO voters.
I am pretty sure that every single person that voted NO has a brain, a soul, and probably a heart as well. Cutting after school activities is not going to cause us to not get into colleges. It could make the difference between getting into a reach school, but your claim that this budget crisis will drastically kill our futures is way out of line and unjustified.
Basically I guess what I'm trying to say is that for the people who voted no, enough was enough, and their decision should be respected. If you decide to roll over and die because it will be hard to keep your clubs going and you would rather whine and smoke, then maybe the voters were right - the kids aren't worth the money.

It may be tough to pay the taxes in this town, understandable. Don't you think there is a better way to fix the problem with the budget than voting it down? According to Dr. Reidy it will continued to get voted down. I believe that we should be able to participate in sports and have extrordinary opportunities because this is a pretty nice town. I don't want to have to go home at 3 o'clock, it doesn't matter if I'm in Drama or in the Italian club.
No one is forcing anyone to live here, so someone needs to stand up and either fix the situation or move out. Voting the budget down only fixes the situtation for those paying taxes for one year. It will continue to fail if we having to balance it out. As of now, our school and town is slowly falling and everyones houses will be worth nothing. We are the most "violent school" in the area, and we are 1 out of 4 schools to have our budget fail. If the budget continues to get voted no then what will happen to this town?
This town is run very poorly and because of it the students and the tax payers have to suffer.
I guess I just feel that voting no was not the best decision for the town or for the school or the tax payers in the long run. I clearly overstated that.

I don't really care though. I don't think I have the energy to fight this budget, so I'll just concentrate on other things this year. And we'll be all the more excited to go to college.
