I'm finally getting around to sorting and posting my photos from Dublin earlier this month. ( Part 1, in which our protagonist goes looking for abandoned ruins and discoveres them to be un-abandoned after all. )

So.... an atheist jew, an agnostic muslim, a gay episcopalian priest, a polish Jehovah's Witness, and an anglican priest walk into a bar that for 400 years was actually a church... it would be a decent start to a joke, but instead it's how I started last night. My sister was in town last week, so there was lots of family type hanging out. It was good to see her, and her visits usually prompt more of seeing my brother as well (even though he only lives like 10 blocks from me, we don't see each other all that often). Took a drive up to Edmonton on Saturday afternoon to visit nimonic. About halfway up, the muffler literally fell off my truck so the trip was a bit loud, and my ears were ringing by the time I got there. Having a week off was nice. I spent most of it working in the garage. Nothing relaxes like loud noises, sparks, and the smell of burning steel :)
