i'm not sure what the "thanks" is for ....

But i swear by the crock pot and the aroma. i always feel better when i can smell food cooking. It's theraputic for me. Some foods though are comfort foods. But anything aromatic makes me feel better. Sad but true, sometimes i just have to force myself to cook something and in the process i can feel better.

*hugs*

I agree. I especially love it when I leave and then come home to the smells.

I am so happy that you are doing better. Depression is scary and often you dont know what it is until you are in the midst and someone else points out where you are ( ... )

We were *so* poor when I was a child, but I don't ever remember being hungry. As a matter of fact, I think my g-grandmother *overcompensated* by over feeding me.

This has touched a nerve in me, and when I have more personal time, it's something I'll have to do something about. No matter how small.

And you can tell you have taught your girls your empathy and love for humanity.

Second Harvest and organization I've volunteered for and been helped by during some bad times, has a lot of statistical information on their website, and there should be a branch in your area.

I could go into how much of a problem it is, and why more people aren't doing something about it, but I haven't had enough coffee to prevent rant-mode.:)

There is a branch in my area. And it looks like things are in the works for another/newer place. I'm excited about it! I'd volunteer there *now* except I can't take my children until they're 12. And they presently don't need volunteers on the one day I have where the girls are in school.

But there are other ways to volunteer there that I'm looking into. Thanks for pointing it out to me!
