Just felt like writing something today;
Waiting
One day. One day soon, Subaru thought, he would make the petite guitarist his. But for now, he was content to wait and watch. At 17, Shota is still too young but soon, one day soon.
At 19 Shota is ripe for it, now Subaru thought, now he would make Shota his. But he is too late. He notices the little touches, the whispers and stares. He kicks himself as he watches Shota slide his small hand into the large one of their tall drummer.
When Shota is 20, Subaru gets his second chance. But even Subaru’s comforting shoulder is not enough to stop the tears. So, Subaru waits and watches as Shota’s heart mends.
And then there is concert after concert, singles, press conferences, plays, albums, television and more concerts. The group of friends is now famous but fragile, efforts must be concentrated nothing can rock the boat. Subaru pushes his feelings aside - and is content to wait and watch.
At 24 Shota has had enough. He feels like he has been waiting his whole life for Subaru and yet the singer has never tried to move their relationship past friends. Shota will not wait any longer he needs Subaru in his life and he is not content to just sit back and watch. Tonight, Subaru will be his.
