I've been watching this community for ages, and after finally getting a Livejournal (yes, I r n00b), I jumped on the chance to join. Basically, The World Ends with You = EPIC AWESOMENESS. God, words cannot even begin to express how utterly perfect this game is. I'm hooked. Gah. Everything from the storyline to the music to the revolutionary art style to the amazing characters is just mindblowing. I think that this may be the best video game I've ever played. <3 I got it for Christmas and haven't been able to put it down, it's so addictive. Let's see...I've collected all of the secret reports except for the Another Day one. I have 93% of the items collected (so much fun!) and, uh, 16% of the pins. *cough* Yeah.
...What I really want to do is buy a black canvas bag, custom order my favorite pins (Flames Afar, Foes Aflame; Rhyme; Lazy Bomber; Shinobi; Peace Full; and Psych Support), and do a bit of D.I.Y. by putting the Player pin design on the front. <./geek>
Anyways, back on topic. Being someone who loves discussions, I figured I might as well open up a discussion about my one of my favorite characters (although really, I love them all. it's unbelievable that I don't even have a least-favorite character, which just goes to show how freakin' awesome this game is) -- Rhyme.
Rhyme is so adorable, and I just love the relationship between her and Beat. *wibbles* We know that her memories of her brother was Beat's entry fee -- but what was Rhyme's? My guess is that they were hopes and dreams...but what were they? I just about cried when Beat said, "She’s the one who had a million reasons to live! I realized somethin’ then. Rhyme’s all I got left."
Oh, and another thing I've always wondered -- what was her psych? Not her noise pin, but the one she actually fought with. From what I've gathered, Shiki and Joshua used psychokinesis with Groove Pawn and Fall from the Heavens, respectively, and Beat used shockwave with Respect. And then Beat has his skateboard, Joshua has his phone, and Shiki has Mr. Piggy Mew. I wonder what Rhyme's method was. Any thoughts?
I dunno, just some food for thought. I've seen lots of discussion about Joshua and noise forms and the like, but not too much about Rhyme. :D
