gameplay question

Hi,
i just started playing the game dispite my limited knowledge of japanese, so i am having some problems syncing neku and shiki during gameplay (my sync level just keeps dropping>_<;;) Can anyone guide me on how to syncro them better? i'm kinda confused on shiki's controls as i kinda find it hard to look at both screens at the same time, so i am a bit lost of what to do.
