Yay for crazy plots!
So, if anyone is interested, there is an insane plot that just started today at kannagara_rpg! We've been playing for the past month and building it up, so it's pretty intense. Pretty much, it's a war plot, people! Akatsuki is going to obliterate Konoha. Yes. Again. I AM EXCITED ABOUT THIS. Okay, not the obliteration, but the plot! It's going to be so insane and I am currently boggling at it.

"Reconnaissance" - Kakashi, Naruto, Sakura, and Neji go on a reconnaissance mission and encounter Madara, who captures Kakashi. Insanity ensues. And a whole lot of clones.
Kannagara is the game that has been kidnapping me from being as active as I used to be on LJ. It's actually my game, and o0famous_amos0o's. And it's set in the ancient world of Naruto, before the Sage of the Six Paths arrived in the world. It also is a dimension that exists within the realm of the gods. AND THE SETTING IS TOTALLY AWESOME. I mean. I am not even exaggerating here. LOOK AT ALL OF THE SHINY. Click on the village names to seeee~ The pictures are SO pretty. *___* I WANT TO LIVE THERE. I think my favorite setting is Kumogakure because of all the pagodas. And the fact that it's like. ABOVE THE CLOUDS.
Anyway, pretty much, the gods have spirited away characters from various canons (well, mostly Naruto -- we have like, 15 Naruto characters, and a number of other fandoms as well) into this world. Their goal is to learn about each other, what it means to be human, and how to live at peace with nature, each other, and the gods. The primary way they do this is through dreams, which work in three different ways: through the network which allows you to actually experience the dream as the dreamer, through merged dreams, and also interactive dreams. It's completely sucked my attention away because it's just that amazing. I mean. I'm seriously happy. Like, really, really happy. I never thought a game like this existed, where everyone in it are friends and so warm and friendly, and works together in a truly collaborative way. The sense of community here is stronger than in any game I've ever played before. I think what I love the most about the game is that we really have this sense that everyone matters and has a role, and I think that's definitely one of our largest goals: to make everyone feel like they belong, that they are important, and that they are a part of this ever-growing family of writers. And most importantly: that they are safe.
I also love the fact that we can go from being totally crackish and talking about the most ridiculous things in chat to having serious debates about sociopolitical issues such as gender and trans phobia, sexuality, and representations of agency/power/etc. and everyone is just on the same page and works together. And makes all the decisions about game policy together. I mean, honestly, I think that a game is its players, and the players interests need to come first above all else. So I like that we can do things like that together and talk about them because I feel like the game doesn't really belong to Infy and me, but to everyone.
It's also. Insanely. Insanely active. Most of our activity goes on via the network, however, so it's not directly on the community -- you'd have to browse through a character's friends list to actually see it, as we tend to only try and log important logs.
And the cast, oh my god. *___* I am so, so, so lucky that I get to play with such an amazing group of writers. Most of whom are all first-time roleplayers, but bring to the game all of their writing experience.
Anyway, so the plot is going to be going on really hardcore for the next few weeks, and it should end around August 16! But there's going to be a lot of logs and such and I think you Naruto fans on my f-list might really be interested in following it. So. I HOPE YOU DO! BECAUSE GUYS, IT'S SERIOUSLY EPIC. And it is SO MUCH BETTER than Kishimoto's :FFFFFail. I mean, there will be a PAIN vs NARUTO showdown, but there will be NO Uzumakianity conversion or...

Okay, can't write anymore in here. I have a one shot to write about Kakashi being brainwashed by Madara, and then another Akatsuki log in which Madara introduces Kakashi as their "new pet dog." (Yeah, Madara's an asshole. AND CAN I JUST SAY, I AM SO GLAD HE IS NOT DANZOU.)
