One year ago to the day, I brought drove down to Washington state to collect this adorable little Papillon puppy from a breeder's home... a little home on a dairy farm in the middle of no where.
I had never even seen him in person. I'd only seen ONE miserable photo of him... and picked this puppy based on his breeder's descriptions of the 4 puppies she had. I picked what I thought was a "middle of the road" puppy--not too crazy, not too shy. Little did I know.... what a crazy ride I was in for. People weren't kidding or exaggerating when they said that Papillons are "5lb Border Collies". Seriously. The amount of energy this dog has.... you cannot even begin to comprehend.
One year ago, I drove down to Washington to meet this little guy:

This crazy dog drives me up the wall ALL the damn time. But you know what they say, "can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em". I love you, Cadence. You're the best stupid decision that I've ever made!
Happy "Gotcha" Day!
