You distance yourself and look lonely, but you push us away. So many hands reach out to you, but you refuse each one and look only over your shoulder, hoping that the one you are waiting for will come back.
You don't understand the rules we abide by. You break them, you knock down, and the you smile back at us like an angel. Stop it. It is not your place to break the heart of her, who smiled so genuinely at you. Instead, you cut her down and slash her into blood-stained ribbons and shattered whatever remained into a million, broken pieces.
Why do you stay here? We are not keeping you on a leash; you are free to go where you wish. We are not locking you up in a cage nor did we snip off your wings. If you are a bird, then we are leaving the door of the cage open for you. The window is opened to its full extent, and you can see the blue-ness of the sky. You are permitted to fly away, to the other side of Paradise where there are others waiting for you with beckoning arms.
