Due to lack of concentration and completely burning-out after being high on the night air for a few hours, I was unable to drag myself to the computer at midnight and update my blog.
So yesterday, I think I finally felt the extent of what life had to offer. Well, maybe just small pieces of the finished product, but I can honestly say they were the most beautiful moments I've ever experienced.
The night started off with an expected guest at an unexpected time.(sorry rin, had to click the checkers game off to accommodate the sudden arrival. we'll play again next time?) me&ash sat through Gooworld, befriending shadows and the silence hanging off the walls until fireworks shattered the skies outside. Unable to contain the excitement bubbling inside, we frantically contacted people so we could leave earlier than planned. kat arrived moments later.
So the three of us weaved through the crowds of people, arms linked like pretzels and laughing at nothing and everything, setting the excited storms trapped inside of our chests free. The night air was chill and filled with the delicious taste of something different.(and wow, i think i met wesley from wongfu productions! he might've been the guy standing behind me in line for the O|Zone, and i picked up a quarter he dropped. but maybe that's just me.)
Making our way across the terrain, soaking in as much of the sights and sounds that we could contain and breathing in the aroma of promises, we met up with friends we haven't seen in a while and ones we saw just a few days ago. There were performances and music blaring from the stage, illuminating the darkness and throwing the crowd into a frenzy of cheers and dancing and moving in time to the beat.
Slipping away from the crowd forming for the F.I.R. concert, we bid farewell to the O|Zone and ambled over to the ferris wheel set up across the street.
a breath-taking view, from above and below!
(unfortunately, my camera ran out of batteries after only this picture. i should've recharged it when i had the chance.)
Tripping over my feet trying to stay upright after the exhilaration of the ferris wheel (if only vel hadn't leaned back and forth, i wouldn't have almost had a permanent heart attack), we decided to conquer the rest of the night by meeting up at tim hortons with another handful of people. But we accidentally took the wrong route and ended up circling the entire area and spending half an hour trying to make sense of left&right, before finally finding the bustling cafe nestled between the nearby shops.
After a few coffees and packs of sugar and bits of chitchat here&there, we left for our homes and parted our separate ways. The roads seemed calm and quiet in comparison to the clamor of people who filled the open spaces of the O|Zone.
I can still feel my fingertips tingling with the faerie magic and memories left over from last night. What a wonderful feeling.
I'd love to go again. ♥
