YAY! I've graduated!!
Yesterday was a very special day for me as I've offically graduated from college. The ceremony started at 1 pm but we all met up 2 hours earlier to take pictures for yearbook. Everyone looked really good in their dresses and I had a blast! I purchased a dress from Ann Taylor ($89!!) and shoes from Off Broadway Shoes to wear at the graduation. Humm..it know it's kinda expensive but this time, i'm gonna let myself have it! =) We all got excited as we lined up to walk into the ceremony. Our group got really cerative this time. We wore stethoscopes around our necks and decorated our caps with nursing supplies like syringes, IV tubings, bandages, alcohol wipes, etc. I was kinda sad all of my friends couldn't make it to the ceremony but thanks mucho to U nyo, ma ma gyi, Shaun, Pozaw, and WinWin for showing up! I love you all, you guys are the best, and it meant a lot to me that you guys were there cheering me up in the burning sun! And Thanks mucho to U Nyo and Shaun for taking great pictures this time! =D. For dinner, we went to eat at the CheeseCake Factory at Irvine Spectrum. Ko Nyi, Ko Tun Tun, and WinWin's boyfriend joined us, but Pozaw couldn't make it because he had work so I was sad =( It was a wonderful dinner and I made a little thank you speech and got little teary..sniff sniff..After dinner, shaun, ko tun tun, ko nyi, and myself went to Dave n Busters to get a couple of drinks to celebrate. One of my best friends from nursing, Mariko, happened to be there with her friends so it got really fun.
As for the gifts, my cousins got me tickets to Magic Mountain; my lovely sis and bro got me a gold/sliver chain; shauny got me IPod connector to car radio (i needed it!!); shauny's mom got us tickets to KEANE's concert!!!; my boss gave me a pair of pants that i've been wanting for a long time; win win and zaw got me flowers, teddy bears, and balloons. Thanks to all of you who wrote dedication letters and contributed $ to our yearbook.
Well, summer school starts next week and I will have intense internship over 6 weeks period. Then, pinning ceremony comes (Hopefully my parents can make it to that) and I'll get a week off. Then, we are scheduled to take 5 intense review courses for NCLEX (state RN board exam), hopefully I'll pass that and I WILL BECOME A REGISTERED NURSE!!!!! wow, i'm so excited! I just can't wait. "A future that lies ahead of me seems so bright that it burns my eyes" (a quote from a nursng instructor). I just want to thank my friends and family for supporting me and loving me. Thank you Shaun for putting up with me (literally!!!), accepting me for who I really am, and making me laugh like no one does. Thank you all!
