Pretty, pretty, sparkley TV show *_*
So there's this TV show called Kings, right? *spoilers*
AND IT IS THE BEST THING EVER! It's over on in America so I've been watching it via the net and oh how I loves it <3 It's based on the biblical story of David but set in a modern, AU type world. The chemistry is epic, everyone has it! with everyone else! and the filming - homg, this kind of TV makes me glad for all film technique analysis they shovelled onto us in English. Vectors, reoccuring colours, motifs and symbolism AND PRETTY, INTERESTING (also PRETTY) CHARACTERS!
and they haven't picked it up for another season /o\
I'm so happy and also so depressed. I have got to stop investing myself in TV shows like this ;) Though perhaps it's a good thing as so many shows are great for the first season or two and then start to suck (see Lost, Alias, House, Heroes..) Also, as you may or may not know, the story of David and Jonathan is considered by some to be a gay love story IN THE BIBLE. And they made Prince Jack (modern Jonathan incarnation) sekritly gay and repressed because of familial disapproval and having the haaatey UST with protag. This angst makes me so happy, I was really hoping that in the next season they would build on David and Jack's relationship and from the intereviews I read E.g. AfterElton you make me so happy (except for that MEAN April Fool's Prank) it looks like that may have been a possibility- although with US TV you never really know.
Bah! It seems I must look to British TV for my new fix, speaking of; Merlin continues to appeal and Being Human seems to be shaping up nicely in that respect. Ahh George, I love how you squeal worse than me :D
