Cogito, ergo sum

Another pleasantly cool and rainy day. Ahh, love that English weather. Not all year, but it's nice to have it for few days a few times a year. So nice to curl on the couch with a good book and a hot cup of tea. Usually earl grey, but on days like this I prefer a rich irish breakfast tea. The camping trip was awesome. Boggy Depot is a nice quaint spot on the map, little known, seldom visited, but full of splendor. ... and history. Love that history. It's fun to see how everything is connected, and how a little seemingly insignificant event can change the course of the world forever. For example, we all have heard of the mighty defeat of the Spanish Armada by England. What's interesting is the circumstances. The king of Spain was so eager to sail his Armada that the barrels used to hold the water weren't properly aged. The green barrels were filled with water, and after a few days at sea the water had turned bad. The men, having no other real choice, drank anyway. By the time the Armada encountered the English fleet, the men aboard were so sick they could barely muster the strength the fight. Hence, the Spanish were defeated, and the English won supremacy of the high seas. This paved the way for nearly two centuries of English domination, forever altering the course of history...all because of green barrels. See, interesting huh? I was planning for this to be a philosophical post, but all you're gonna get is the subject line. I have written enough now.
