So I really try to stay away from politics and religion because if you wanted to hear/read it, you'd have asked, right? Plus, a few of you are in different countries so you're not really interested.

Well, this one time, I'm going to break my own rule and talk politics.

Of course! The Hip can not be left out of any music meme. XD Thank heavens for hockey, cause without the Stars I never would've found the Hip.

Really? I knew about the Stars' association with Pantera (there's that hilarious -- and untrue -- story about Carbo attempting to throw the Cup off of a balcony into the swimming pool at Vinnie Paul's house and it missing and getting dented), but I never knew about the Hip. Interesting.

But it's such a good story, why ruin it with facts? ;) Yeah, I can't remember exactly who mentioned it first, but I know Smitty is friends with the band and plays with them on occasion. I saw him, Turco, Boucher, Otter, and a few other guys at the Hip concert in October (Dallas House of Blues) rocking out in the VIP section.

Funny story of the night: Smitty using Turco's leg as an air guitar. I was freaking out because it looked like Marty was about to fall over the railing and Smitty was the only thing keeping him from going over. But they did look cute together. lol

At the time, not so much. I was sitting maybe 30 feet away and I was like: Bad Smitty! Put his leg down now! He has to play Anaheim tomorrow for a playoff spot! It was nerveracking. And then my dad (who has this very strange thing with Marty that is just odd) ran into him buying drinks for the guys and I was all wtf? We have a game tomorrow! An important game!

But its ok, cuz we won. lol
