Amazing and EASY Chicken Recipe

My dad's side of the family has a reunion every 5 years. At the last one, we were all presented with a cookbook of recipes contributed by the whole family. I've been going through the cookbook and trying some of the recipes that interest me. And most of them have been fabulous.
I've been avoiding this one because, well, to put it bluntly, the ingredients are just... bizarre.
But I'm trying to eat more chicken and less beef, so this one finally made it to my oven. (The lady who submitted it -- a family friend who helps with the reunions -- is a great cook, so I figured I could trust her.) And...
Oh.
My.
Heavens.
It is tasty!
If you want to try it, know before you start that it has to marinate overnight, and plan accordingly. (It's worth the wait!)

Blanch Trouger's Curried Chicken

6-8 chicken breast halves [I used 5 large ones.]
1 package Lipton Onion Soup Mix (dry)
1 8-oz bottle french salad dressing
1 can cranberry sauce, "whole" style

Mix ingredients and pour over chicken. Refrigerate marinade with chicken overnight. Bake at 350 F for 1 hour covered, and bake an additional 15 minutes.

That's it! It's not really "curried", at least in my opinion, but it is delicious!
Enjoy!
