Way back in November when NaNo was going on,
jade_sabre_301 and I had a word war. She won. Her prize was a fanmix...and I'm just now getting it to her.
See, I take mixes pretty seriously. And though I have honestly been working on this thing since November, I couldn't get it right until last week. I had the fandom pretty early on, but first I was thinking of doing a Kyouya/Haruhi ship mix, but I couldn't get enough songs that I felt really worked for them. So then I switched to a gen mix, and things went much more smoothly after that.
In addition to the mix, there's a little mini picspam of sorts to go along with it. The graphics correspond to some of the songs.
I hope you like it, Jade my dear! I'm sorry it's so late in coming. ♥
Blue Blood Blues Zip(xx --> tt)
You, Me, and The Bourgeoisie
The Submarines
Plastic bottles, imported water, cars we drive whenever we want to
Clothes we buy, it's sweatshop labor; drugs from corporate enablers
Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful?
Paloma Faith
D'you want the truth or something beautiful? Just close your eyes and make-believe
D'you want the truth or something beautiful? I am happy to deceive you
Dominoes
The Big Pink
These girls fall like dominoes, dominoes
Good Old-Fashioned Loverboy
Jason Mraz
Set my alarm, turn on my charm
That's because I'm a good old-fashioned loverboy
Never Had Nobody Like You
M Ward
Well since time-out-of-mind I've been lazy; and times before that, I was cruel
And the times before that, I was mean, I was bad
Honey, I ain't never have nobody like you
The More I See You
Sondre Lerche
The more I see you, the more I want you
Somehow this feeling just grows and grows
With every sigh I become more mad about you, more lost without you, and so it goes
Your Honor
Regina Spektor
I kissed you lips and I tasted blood;
I asked you what happened and you said there'd been a fight;
You said, I've been fightin' for your honor but you wouldn't understand
Scared At Night
Kathleen Edwards
And underneath my sheets I could barely breathe
And your room was only just across the hall; all it would have taken was a single call;
And in the dark, picture me in your mind, and I'll lay with you
You don't have to be scared at night
Little Bird Courage
Old Canes
It's spoken through your heart; it's moving up your veins;
It's at the tip of your tongue and singing
You are a holy one, you are a majesty
I love the world and the world is ringing back with the same;
When I'm thirsty, you are the fountain
In the face of danger, I'm unafraid as long as you're here
After Hours
We Are Scientists
This door is always open; no one has the guts to shut us out;
We're all right where we're supposed to be
We're all right where we're supposed to be
Charlie Chaplin
Katie Herzig
We are entertainers living in a scene where nobody slows down
Busy making little pieces into things that dare to make a sound
Fall like an angel, try like a fool, and dare to walk away
Each of us has got a little Charlie Chaplin inside us;
Waddle your way to the sunset today
