The Nazis Have Invaded My Austria...Again

Aug 20, 2004 20:26

Well, the last few days have been good...actually, they've been pretty damned good. Joe and I have been talking alot, and that's cool. He was supposed to come over today, but work got in the way. Hopefully he calls me later...anyway, yeah, it sucks 'cause Dad's saying I can;t date him 'til he meets him. Dad is leaving for four months to Spain on Thursday morning...you do the math. Arg. My pirate side is coming out again. Either way, it was a pretty good day, except for the perpetual feeling of impending doom that lurked over my head all day after 2nd period. Whatever. Lunch was fun. Sarah made me her personal slave, and made me do her WH homework...going over to Jamie's ater tonight. I have Jennie's bithday party tomorrow. Lessee, Shorty broke up with her boyfriend today, and Laurel got to flirt with "hot guys" at driver's ed. My congradulations to her for passing her test, as I was unable to do so. Brava. Uh, oh yeah. I love my choir teacher. He's just like Jim Carey. Kinda looks like him too...we're doing "Penny Lane" by the Beatles for our concert. We do alot of shimmying, lemme tell ya. Beginner's classes rock. Anyway, I'm gonna go watch Monk...and sulk a bit then be happy. I'm good...deep breath...and let it out...*cough*

P.S. I got one of those weird premonition things today...I'll explain later. And I saw a good volleyball game. And I'm getting more into religion. It's cool. Ok bye.

Penny Lane Lyrics

In penny lane there is a barber showing photographs
Of every head he’s had the pleasure to know.
And all the people that come and go
Stop and say hello.

On the corner is a banker with a motorcar,
The little children laugh at him behind his back.
And the banker never wears a mack
In the pouring rain, very strange.

Penny lane is in my ears and in my eyes.
There beneath the blue suburban skies
I sit, and meanwhile back

In penny lane there is a fireman with an hourglass
And in his pocket is a portrait of the queen.
He likes to keep his fire engine clean,
It’s a clean machine.

Penny lane is in my ears and in my eyes.
A four of fish and finger pies
In summer, meanwhile back

Behind the shelter in the middle of a roundabout
The pretty nurse is selling poppies from a tray
And tho’ she feels as if she’s in a play
She is anyway.

In penny lane the barber shaves another customer,
We see the banker sitting waiting for a trim.
And then the fireman rushes in
From the pouring rain, very strange.

Penny lane is in my ears and in my eyes.
There beneath the blue suburban skies
I sit, and meanwhile back.
Penny lane is in my ears and in my eyes.
There beneath the blue suburban skies,
Penny lane.
