I just scoured about a third of my livejournal entries, attempting to find this:

and I passed through at least two or three 2004-2005 entries that were basically like "aaaaahhhHH its finals week stresstresstress i've been doing this for too long" and if I was the kind of person who thought about the future, I probably would have considered the scenario where I'm still worrying about final exams five years later to be the most nightmarish one possible.
This will be my thirteenth final exam week. I got really good at them sometime around the tenth one, though, so all the ones after that sort of lack the flair and drama that the earlier ones had. My academic career is sort of like those NOW cds, something that will go on forever in spite of everyone assuming they stopped doing that shit around 2006 or so.
