Thoughts on a Friday...
So Tam has been looking feverishly for a possible opening at a daycare for after the baby is born (WAAAAY after!) We're looking now because waiting lists can be as much as 2-3 years to get in at one of the government subsidised $7/day daycares. Also, when an opening presents iteslef, if you don't jump on it (regardles of what stage of the pregnancy/infancy is at) you jet bumped to the bottom of the list. :o/ We're looking at the subsidised daycares for two reasons. Horse #1 and horse #2.
I'm back on the Project form Hell here at work. Just doing some support work, so it's not so bad. I refuse to get involved in a complete production run again. I'm done with this damned client.
SCA projects are in the works. Tam got her AoA last weekend (for helping at events and assisting the Queen at Fete des Bois) but no scroll to go with it. She is commissioning me to do her scroll. Aside from that, I have some armouring stuff on the go - mostly to help others with their kits. I've been wanting to get more involved and this is just the outlet I've been yearning for (one that doesn't involve being an officer that is!)
Tam is going to Vancouver for 6-7 weeks. She leaves on October 4th, returning the week of November 15th. It will be weird being away from Tam for so long, not to mention being in the house alone. The upside is that I'll be able to get some of the stuff I want to get done from start to finish while she's away - such as prepping the office for conversion into a nursery, and do some of the unfinished stuff I was hoping to get accomplished last summer. I've had lots of offers for help and/or materials to accomplish all this. I'm looking forward to it.
