Been a while - Lots to update!

The great news: Tam's tenure is 85% assured - she was given three "superior" grades at the faculty level. Now it only needs the nod from the Provost of the university, and she's set. She also got two of her three grants approved, and her paper has been provisionally accepted pending minor edits. Once her tenure becomes official, so does her approved one year sabbatical. Any ways, this basically means I don't have to worry about moving to Saskatchewan.

In other news: The " Project from Hell™ " is done... for now anyways. I'm on a new contract, and already spent three days on the road to do some data gathering at the test facility near Millhaven, ON. Scheduling is tight, and I have little free time these days. Still, it's nice to be onto something new.

Tam and I have started on a bit of a health kick. A change in diet, long walks after supper, and long bike rides on the weekends (in addition to seeing the horses on Sunday) are the order of the day. We've only been at it for ten days now. Looking forward to seeing results after a month. We also did a lot of work in the yard over the last month. A new arch is now supporting the grape vine, some new lawn seed and lawn fertilizer have been laid down. Lots of outdoor work on the house to do this summer, especially around the front windows and porch.

Finances are, well, not so great. With the car on the verge of giving up its ghost, signs that I may need to get my roof resurfaces before long, and my line of credit nearly maxed out, I'm thinking of creative and inexpensive ways to do some of the activities I was planning on doing this summer. I'm still planning on Pennsic, but other things are taking priority at the moment. In the mean-time, I've got a guaranteed spot for Lyndhaven Warcamp. Panteria will require a little more creative thinking, but I'm commited for the weekend, and will be picking up
bob_wills_it at the airport on the Friday for the trip down. Speaking of which, I need to get my swords fixed and shield repainted.

My youngest sister is pregnant, and is due in September. So yeah, I'm going to be an uncle again! ;o)
