I was feeling a bit crappy on Saturday but was going out for lunch with a bunch of friends so I wanted to make an effort and cheer myself up. I'm not the biggest accessories fan ever but having become a pashmina fan to rival our very own
star_tourmaline, I'm mellowing to the idea of scarf wearing in general and decided to branch out.
I wore -
Brown low heels, 40s ish style with a bar across, from Clarks last year
Purple merino tights
This skirt from Joe Browns - over the knee green needlecord, with pink and brown paisley pattern on it and green net round the bottom
Magenta fitted top with short sleeves and a lowish sweetheart neckline
Irridescent green glazed porcelin pendant, silver and peridot daisy stud earrings, peridot chippings bracelet and my silver watch with brown leather strap
Magenta and paler pink silk chiffon scarf around my throat, knotted at the side and hanging down back and front over one shoulder
Dark green fitted cord jacket
And felt wonderful, except that I cannot walk in even low heels without turning my ankles...
Also, I came across
this blog post about style ideology today and thought I'd point it out, as it strikes me that the blogger would fit in just great around here, and the comments, especially regarding the TV show What Not to Wear, reflect the debates we've had in the past too.
