A very long night.
Apparently, the guards were changed out. I didn't mind at first, the old ones seemed to have something against me and would actually go out of their way to make immature remarks or shortchange me on privileges and rations. They never really explained their behavior, except that one time one of them mentioned the name "Dustin Prince." ...Really now, if that's the case, I don't know why they're still bitter about that. It's been more than two years, and he couldn't have had that many friends.
So, when the guards were changed for new ones, I didn't mind. These ones don't seem to be holding any stupid grudges against me yet.
However, last night, one of the new guards made an inexcusable mistake that I wound up paying for. It was a long and terrible night.
Are we ever going to get guards who actually know how to do their damn job?
