Amazing. These last few days, I've actually been finding something close to happiness here. Well, as happy as I can be, considering I'm in the most depressing kind of place I could possibly be. I haven't been injured at all in over a month. I haven't been threatened in weeks. It looks like the other inmates are finally understanding the proper hierarchy here: in that someone of my class deserves everyone's respect. It's quite satisfying, really. I've even been getting gifts. The strawberry cake was particularly memorable. You may have the honor of my gratitude, Ms. Morgan Fey. The oranges I got last month from Engarde were surprisingly enjoyable, eating them made me feel pretty good for awhile. I also enjoy the aromatherapy oils I received in the mail, I still have enough left for at least a week. Thank you to... whoever it was that sent it. The oils have been helping to relax me. In addition, it looks like the food in the cafeteria is getting more tolerable. I don't want to gain any weight, so I'll try not to indulge too much, but when I do have to eat at least it's something that won't make me throw up.
The new neighbor across from me seems to have learned how to mind his own business, so I am actually able to get a regular amount of sleep now. And with the creepy man with no eyes absent, I don't have to worry about him somehow staring at me and bothering me all the time anymore... especially after that last unsettling talk I had with him. Amazing how everything seems to be working rather favorably for me as of late.
I don't know what I was ever afraid of. The inmates are finally starting to see how much better I am than they are. As long as they remember that, I'm going to live out the rest of my years relatively comfortably. Let's just hope they don't forget their place. Now if I can just get the guards to listen to me, I'll be running this filthy penitentiary.
Anyways, it looks like I'm supposed to attend another group therapy meeting soon, so I'll stop here. I don't see why I should have to go, but at least it's better than being pushed out into the yard.
things are looking up!,
mmm strawberries,
gonna need to be taken down a peg,
i'm better than you,
suffocatingly arrogant
