hey, i'm alive! HUZZAH! not sure how long i'll stay that way, due to the massive workload that's culminating in the next two weeks, but it's okay, because i went to the beach yesterday! got uber-burned, but whatev. every so often i curse my irish heritage, and today was definitely one of those days.
kaeli, just remember, we've had worse burns, and lived to tell the tale. it'll be okay.
anyway!! there's nothing really to say except "life is amazing" and "organic chemistry can kiss my ass." to expound upon these topics, let me just point out that:
ONE. lost comes back thursday, for six more episodes, which means that i can waste some more time contemplating the fate of sawyer, jack, and my other loves. and it's okay that i'm so obsessive, because i MAY end up writing my honors thesis on how the characters of lost reflect their philosophical namesakes, and what that means for the fates of the characters on the show. GO TEAM ROUSSEAU! it's between that, expanding my adjunct paper on harry potter and how j.k. ripped it off from gilgamesh, or writing a full-length movie of passions: the musical.

TWO! i ordered the most amazing shirt the other day, and it is the story of my life on a t-shirt. LINKAGE. third item down. LOVE. technically, i think james got it for me for my birthday, cause he's refusing to let me pay him back for it or something lame. which brings me to point number
THREE. which is the fact that james and i finally started officially going out a few weeks ago. much drama involved, starting with literally the first day of school, and i'm sure there will be continuing drama, because my life is a SOAP OPERA, but whatev, i'm pretty much uber-happy right now.
FOUR. speaking of soap operas! BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, AHHH!! callie finally, FINALLY got killed off last week, and they can't possibly bring her back as the twelfth cylon, because it HAS to be billy. right, kiggles? RIGHT??
FIVE. NEW SHOES. due to a windfall of money that randomly came from the scholarship that i got last summer. yay shopping!!!
sorry. i REALLY like buying new shoes. which might make me a masochist or something, because they always lead to an increase in the frequency of me running into doors, falling down stairs, tripping while just standing still, etc.
ANYWAY! if i were a superhero, my nemesis would be organic chemistry. i'd be about to save the world or something, and someone would say, "hey, WALK ME THROUGH THE SYNTHESIS OF 3,5-DIBUTYLANILINE," and i'd sit down for the next twenty years or so trying to figure it out.
that's just something i'd like to point out. MECHANISMS, DIE.
but it's okay, because it'll be OVER in less than TWO WEEKS, and i'm taking the most kickass classes pretty much ever next semester. history of u.s. law, with dr. ross, who happens to be one of the best professors at loyola? computer programming with tucci, with james and hunter and alex in the class? and horror films as my last english elective, where i get to watch NOSFERATU (pretty much my favorite movie, besides enchanted, which is just amazing) and 28 days later with not only kat, sergio, bobby, roy, and andy, but also BRADLEY PAUL?
it's going to be a good time.
