Bride and Prejudice DVD

So, I've been dying to see this movie since it hit theaters, and finally got to watch the DVD. (Comes out Tuesday, heeee.)

I hafta say, dunno if anyone else out there who's seen it already, but I adored it. It was beautiful with all the bright colors and okay, yes, it's basically a musical, but it was enjoyable. Even if half the singing was in another language, LOL. Still fun to watch, at least IMO.

Martin... nummy nummy nummy! Love him!

The lead actress, Aishwarya Rai... very beautiful. Thought was she great in the movie.

And, a special bonus for any Lost fans, particularly of Sayid, Naveen Andrews is in the movie as well, heeeee. As Martin's best friend! He's the one who originally takes Martin's charrie to India. And he falls in love with the oldest daughter. (Not a spoiler, this happens very early on in the movie, lol.)

He gets to dance as well, and sing (although with a bunch of other guys, lol.)

The dance numbers, typical musical fashion, but from an Indian take, lol. Like I said, bright colors with the costumes, tons of extras, lots of singing.

One number I enjoyed, and the director had wanted it to have a little Grease feel to it, Lalita's (Aishwarya) sisters were teasing her about this potential suitor, a real moron, lol. And they did so in a song and dance number. Quite cute.

I thought it was a cute movie. Now, I haven't seen Pride and Prejudice, and it's always been on my list TO see, but I very much enjoyed this take on it. It was a fun, light movie. And of course Naveen and Martin, not bad to look at, LOL.
