Restaurants

Now... normally I don't post about restaurants, as what is good to one person is crap to another.

My husband and I have been looking for a reasonable substitute for Jerry's Famous Deli (JFD) since moving away from Westwood and Sherman Oaks. JFDs has pickles at request (and no charge!), really good chicken soup (rice or noodles), and open way past midnight. Great for the late night munchies and stuff. A bit on the expensive size, but you can't say they give you tiny portions. ^_^

Now, our realtor recommended this place that has really good corned beef, called Katella Deli. So last week, we decided to check it out. We discovered a few things, one eating at the counter rocks. Their menu is almost as big as JFDs, and it's actually not in 10 pt font! Free pickles. (Yum!) They have awesome split pea soup (served only Mondays). Husband loved the pancakes. Same size portions as JFD. And it's closer than any of the JFDs that are "close". Yay!

Now we need to wade our way thru the bakery.
