Instructions: On Wikipedia, look up your birthday and list notable events for that day: three notable events, two celebrity birthdays, and one celebrity death.
Not part of the instructions but should be: Include a link to the relevant Wikipedia article. Duh!
Three Events: Hard to pick -- who knew there were so many? There are lots of strangely named battles (Solferino, Carabobo, Bannockburn), but I'll keep that to one:
24 June 972 --
the Battle of Cedynia, the first recorded victory by Polish troops.
24 June 1947 -- Kenneth Arnold, flying over Washington, spots the first
flying saucers ever.
24 June 1374 -- an outbreak of
St John's Dance in Aachen.
Two celebrity birthdays: I'll pick
St. John of the Cross, born in 1542 and
Ambrose Bierce, exactly three hundred years later.
One celebrity death: Again, lots of choices, but it's easy for me, because
Paul Winchell saddened me greatly by dying on my birthday just last year.
