pairing/characters: woohyun/sunggyu
rating: PG-13

summary: high school AU. first boyfriend and stuff. surprisingly, woohyun is not greasy at all and sunggyu has a very soft neck.

There’s always something delicate about his classmate, this Sunggyu chingu he only gets to know for about two weeks. They’re twelfth graders, all busy with cram schools and stuffs, and it all started when the twelfth graders went to the annual hiking and he got to sleep in the same room with Sunggyu along with other twenty boys from XII-1 to XII-5.

Sunggyu was laughing at Dongwoo’s joke, had thrown his head back and got that creamy, meaty neck exposed and it was like-

Woohyun remembers holding his breath upon seeing the sight. From then on, every night, he dreams of touching Sunggyu’s neck. It looks so soft. And so…pale. He thinks if he was Edward Cullen he’d go for Kim Sunggyu instead of that female goose. Seriously.

(Not that Woohyun reads the annoying saga, but Sungjong has always dragged him to watch the movies-plural-yeah, okay).

It’s been two weeks, and they’re hanging out more, now. Before, Sunggyu was this awfully anal classmate in Woohyun’s rebellious mindset; always does homework, goes home straight after school (or maybe continues to go to the cram school), wears his uniform in such a boring way, and has a very pretty eye smile. Well, Sunggyu doesn’t have much of eyes in the first place, anyway, but still.

And did Woohyun tell you about Kim Sunggyu’s huggable built? No?

Woohyun is an ordinary, healthy boy who thinks about sex every ten minutes or so. It doesn’t really help how Sunggyu is currently next to him, changing to PE sweats. He’s got this cotton-baby-cologne-ish scent too. And his light brown hair looks especially fluffy today.

Nam Woohyun is a senior high school student, who falls in love for the first time at the age of eighteen. This could be a sweet story.

Passing a month of their friendship-it’s November already-Woohyun decides to take a step forward.

He’s going to ask Sunggyu out for a date. You know, a traditional date; watch movie, eat, troll around the mall, walk Sunggyu home, and get a goodnight kiss (maybe, hopefully).

Only, Woohyun fails to notice whether Sunggyu is as delicate as he seem to be. Who knows, Sunggu might hate Woohyun for treating him like a girl. But. How is he supposed to act, then? Somebody needs to be ‘the man’ and he’s so not going to play the other way around. He has sharper jaw and more defined biceps! That should be enough, right?

“Hi,” Sunggyu awakens him from his overactive, paranoid mind. He’s smiling, and there’s no way it is a handsome smile; that’s a pretty smile, okay, with those fox-like eyes disappearing and those pink, luscious lips stretching. Sunggyu must have applied lip balm everyday. Oh, he has to; it’s cold nowadays. Woohyun doesn’t want to see Sunggyu’s lips all chapped and bleeding. It ruins his perfection.

“Hey,” he answers lamely, palms suddenly sweating, so embarrassed to admit that he just called Sunggyu ‘perfect’ without hesitation in his head. They’re on lunchtime. He forgets he didn’t pack a lunchbox today, and forgets to go to the canteen to get anything. Too busy rehearsing, remember? But now that Sunggyu is right in front of him, proceeding to eat his lunchbox, he’s thisclose to run away.

He sniffs as he looks around the fairly empty classmate. Dongwoo must have gone to the canteen without telling him. That bastard.

“Where’s your lunch?”

If he goes by whispering, maybe it’ll be alright. The possibility of a couple of starving classmates already eating their lunches overhearing him…well…there’s a possibility, of course. But if he whispers it now-

“Woohyun-ah?”

Sunggyu is touching the back of his left hand. Woohyun immediately turns the table and looks straight into Sunggyu’s shocked eyes, swallowing a bitter lump before opening his mouth,

“Um, are you free, ummm. Saturday? Are you free? No cram school, right?”

Sunggyu tilts his head, frowning, “Why?”

“Ummm I was, you know, wondering. If you’dliketogotoadatewithme?” Woohyun sniffs again, releasing his hold on Sunggyu’s wrist and leaning back against his seat, trying to form a smile.

“Ummm I’ll pay?” he adds unhelpfully, scratching his philtrum nervously.

Sunggyu blinks, frowns, blinks some more, and covers his mouth with his chopstick free hand. Woohyun knows there’s nothing cuter than that reaction, but it starts to egg him anyway; is Sunggyu alright? He looks like…he looks like he’s going to faint anytime soon.

Oh my samgyeopsal.

“I’m sorr-”

“DON’T!”

Woohyun blinks. Sunggyu was yelling. He never yells except when they play basketball and soccer. He just yelled. At him.

From the corner of his eyes, his starving classmates are looking at them curiously. Sweats drop down from his temple. Woohyun’s brain is screaming at his legs to run, but his heart tells him to wait.

Sunggyu is blushing when he uncovers his mouth.

He says, “I’m sorry I overreacted. I didn’t-I don’t want you to take it back. I want to go to a date with you, Woohyun-ah.”

Woohyun holds his breath.

Sunggyu smiles and continues, “Saturday. I have cram school. But I can skip. Oh my god. A date. I’d like that.”

*

So unbelieving that everything goes according to plan, Woohyun wakes up late on Saturday, because he couldn’t get a wink of sleep at all, and now he’s apologizing frantically to his iPhone that the ahjumma sitting next to him on the bus is side-eyeing him so hard he’s afraid her eyes will pop out of their-

He’s fashionably an hour late. Sunggyu is waiting at the hip pasta restaurant in Hongdae, staring out of the window and making weird faces with his lips. Woohyun announces his arrival with a loud but breathless, “S-Sunggyu-yah! Miahne!” and putting on a bright red, Angry Birds beanie on top of his date’s head. He bought it on his way running from the bus station; at least Sunggyu smiles at his impromptu present.

“Thanks,” Sunggyu fixes the beanie. “You okay?”

“Heh heh,” Woohyun swallows and sniffs, knows too well that he’s having this shit eating grin all over his face. Sunggyu offers him his bubble ice tea. It’s in pink color. Hmm, strawberry? Sunggyu likes strawberry?

“Strawberry?” Woohyun asks.

“Yeah,” Sunggyu shifts and leans to the table, biting his bottom lip, “so…where are you taking me?”

Woohyun almost chokes on the drink. Right.

“Uh, well, what d’ya wanna do first?”

“My stomach’s fine for now. So, movies?”

*

There’s nothing spectacular going on during the horror movie; to Woohyun’s disappointment, of course. But what was it again that he had wanted Sunggyu to do? Huh? To cling and hide his face on his chest? Really, Nam Woohyun.

They eat at the previous pasta restaurant, with Woohyun trying not to sigh at the prices. Sunggyu tilts his head, asks whether Woohyun wants to go to a cheaper place but Woohyun feels ashamed and insulted (but don’t tell Sunggyu that) and bravely declares that Sunggyu can just eat whatever he wants.

“I’ve promised you I will pay,” he clears his throat. Sunggyu beams and picks a hard to pronounce spaghetti and a tropical fruit smoothie with chicken wings and a medium portion of banana split for dessert.

At least Woohyun gets a sweet goodnight kiss later on.

*

After two months, Woohyun finds out that he’s addicted to the little noises Sunggyu always verbalize whenever they’re making out. Making out as in devouring each other’s mouth, hands on hips and/or chests but can never travel lower than that, sometimes lying down on any available flat surfaces-and it’s just now as Woohyun’s brain too turned on by the little noises he does ground his crotch against his boyfriend’s.

Sunggyu jerks, blushing cherry tomato when their eyes meet. They’re making out in Sunggyu’s room with his umma downstairs fixing dinner. The only way to keep quiet is to keep making out, in Woohyun’s humble opinion.

He’s hard, by the way.

And Sunggyu...well, that's such an understatement of the century.

They have an impromptu staring match, seemingly wanting to communicate what’s in their minds but too shy to vocal it out.

They both want it.

Finally, Woohyun breaks the silence and bravely plasters their bodies and sighs when his erection brushes Sunggyu’s. Sunggyu is biting his bottom lip, his hold on Woohyun’s shoulders tighten. Woohyun whispers,

“Are you sure?”

It takes time for Sunggyu to answer, and really, Woohyun is a patient boy. He peppers kisses down Sunggyu’s jawline and neck as he waits.

Sunggyu finally sniffs, “I-I want-yeah. This weekend my parents will have their monthly hiking with, uh, with my appa’s company. I.”

Woohyun can’t help the smile and a very, very brilliant idea strikes up.

“Your umma. Still a long time before dinner, right?” he leans on his elbows to grin at Sunggyu. Sunggyu checks the clock and nods.

“About thirty minutes more. Why?”

Woohyun gives a wry laugh and a leer, “Practice makes perfect.”

*

When Sunggyu’s umma asks her son why he keeps squirming on his seat, Woohyun holds back a smug grin. Sunggyu kicks his foot under the table, but then winces by his own action. Woohyun doesn’t get a goodnight kiss later on, but it’s totally worth it.
