Fat cat story
Hey there. Long time member, first time poster...
Anyway, I was here thinking I had no SPO tales of my own, and when I read that post about the cat whose owner WANTED it to be fat, I remembered something that happened way back when I was kennel handing at the local vet.
So there was this morbidly obese (but oh so gorgeous and sweet-natured) cat who used to come in sometimes to board or for medical stuff, who never seemed to be losing any weight. The vet told me that every time the owners came in, he would explain how unhealthy it was for their cat to be so big, and strongly recommend he be on a diet, but every time they replied "well when he was younger, he was hit by a car. Now that he's put on some weight, we know he's too big to get over the fence, so he'll never get hit again!"
Oi. Love the logic. Why don't you make your kids fat too so there's no chance they will ever get hit by a car. Or perhaps you should cut off your feet so you'll never have to worry about stubbing your toe. Yeah. I like that one.
