what would you do?
if someone in your family that you were close to died and left their pet behind?
i'm assuming that someone in my family, my sister or my parents, would take my cats in, instead of rehoming them or sending them to a shelter. i know that my sister would take my mom's dog and i would take my sister's dog (or my parents would take him) if anything like this ever happened. (knock on wood)
but i just saw this in my local *animal rights* group!
My mother died last week, and I am trying to surrender her (the cat) to a rescue that will for sure take care of her.
now, as i don't know the situation, it's hard to say if someone is being stupid or not... but i honestly cannot see ever sending my loved one's pets to a shelter if something happened! even though i don't live with or near my parents or my sister, their dogs are like family to me!
