Don't be nervous. It's a really good story. It's very well-written. It's a cool idea. I really like it.

Was it just because it was different than all the other bamfJohn's/sociopathic ones? I really didn't want this going dark so it was an interesting tightrope....

I'm really interested in hearing what you thought about it, like, if it was weird or something.

Not weird, no, not at all. AU, I guess. It's not quite the John we know, but maybe he's not that different. A little push one way or the other and maybe this would be "our" John. He's not a sociopath in this at all; he feels plenty. He's just got a job to do, and he does it. He's still got that strong moral compass.

And BAMF? Oh my. He sure is. (Have you seen this? I saw it just before I read this story. The two shall forever be linked in my mind)

I saw that RIGHT after I posted. I was so excited! The artist already had like 72 comments, but I totally barfed all over the page about how awesome it was and how ironically connected to my fic it was >.<

Makes me tempted to link to it, but I'm sure that anyone on the forum who reads my fic will already be aware of the drawing. <3

The whole moral compass this was something I knew had to stick around because well...It's John. John without a moral compass is either no longer John or a very broken John.

More like I spent so much time on this that I'm super anxious :) Also, it's the longest fanfic I've ever posted. Closest I ever got was 9k chaptered on FF.Net that I now avoid like the plague(different fandom)
