school = cool. kind of
so the first week of school wasn't TOO bad. it was only 3 days, and we didn't have to do a ton, since everyone's schedules were majorly effed up, so people kiept sweitching classes, and teachers were all like, dang, let's not do REAL stuff till next week when theings have settled down. but we did some stuff. enough to keep me from getting bored. but i'd just like to note that this years foreign exchange students are cool as ever, and we got a few cool new students/teachers, so on the people front, it's going well.
my schedule:
1: Algebra 2 & Trig: already this class has proven to be a little boring, since it's mr. Sensibar. and the kids are a little ghetto, so i'm wondering how focussed we'll be as a class. but luckily, i sit next to (and share a locker with) cecilia, from bolivia, and she's cool, and pretty bored as well, so we're bored together.
2: AP Language & Comp: even though most people won't agree with this statement, YAY mrs. katter! i like her style, and definately enjoyed her class as a freshman, and think that i'll like this one too. also, i sit behind alyssa, and in front of dana. this combo = fun for me.
3: i moniter for miss Nielson's Level 2 theatre class this hour, since i didn't want my study hall. so basically, i sit in the blackbox and read and do my homework, instead of in the study hall. plus, when the kids are all split up, i get to supervise some of them, and like, staple scripts for miss Nielson when she need it. so this is an easy hour. and all my favorite level 2s are in the class i'm monitering for!
4: LUNCH! yay forever. 4th hour lunch is pretty much the best.
5/6, 7/8: 2 hours of theatre. we've started our egg project, so it's something to do. even though some members of my group are slackers. but it's cool. and except for haubner, our moniters are fun. and it's ralph's class, so that = my favorite two hours of the day.
9: AP US History: Rodhal is a cool guy, even though he's a conservative. i'm pretty psyched about this class, even though it means living up to a lot of kashi's stuff... but i think it'll be cool.
10: French 3 (and 4 and 5, but i'm in 3): this is the coolest french class ever. there are 8 of us. and Mme Yang is really cool, and i already feel like i've learned more from her in three days than i did from ms. Newall in like, 2 weeks.
so that's cool. but here's something cooler! i go to school on monday, then i have MYSO (yay! i miss those kids a TON), then i go to school on tuesday, and at 2:00, i leave with the other cool cats for SPRING GREEN! and i don't come back till friday! who all is psyched? i know that i'm psyched! 3 and a half days or classical theatre, the woods, cold weather, no school... what the f could be better?
